My team ILLINOIS

Pipelines into Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and New Jersey.

Is it true you only need to have THREE players from a state to make it a pipeline state?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the only benefit to having a pipeline is that it takes less points to recruit. Recruits may also be interested in your school more so than others but I am not sure.

Re: Pipelines - Who is in yours?

From what I have heard on the threads here is that it takes 3 current players on your roster from the same state to provide you with a pipeline state.

I dont know if it is true as the other poster stated as the recruiting points would be lower in a pipeline state, but it seems logical. I will look into this and try to provide some feedback if this is indeed true...

It seems that having a pipeline state in FL and TX would better your chance into recruiting players from states like FL and TX who have large prestigious campuses who might be vying for the same top rated prospect

Re: Pipelines - Who is in yours?

The great thing about being Ohio State... the pipeline color is the exact same as the one that is used for all the states, thus making it impossible to tell where the pipeline states are, unless while targeting a recruit, next to his hometown, it says PIPELINE.

I believe OSU's are Ohio and then Pennsylvania, but for some reason I'm thinking we were given Michigan too. The Michigan one wouldnt make sense to me, but i think we do have it.

I definatly think it should be more than 3 if that makes you pipeline status with a state. I mean, if you are a national power (lets use Ohio State here), and 3 of your 70 some players come from Texas, then you have a pipeline...? I think it should be larger than 3.
