Where do you start at offensively?

There are so many weapons on almost every team in this game that I'm having trouble focusing on one area to immediately develop. I know the automatic response could be the run game but a lot of times that is the CPU's main goal, to stop the run from the start.

So do you try and get a specific impact player off to a good start first on offense? Do you try and open up the run by completing a few passes in a row, or do you work the run game to open up some for the passing game.

Another thing I try and do every now and then is start off with a deep route or two in a way to open up my passing game. Sometimes the CPU will start the game off in a zone, trying to interrupt to short-medium range game, so I find this as an effective way to get them out of that mindstate of locking down my short range passing game.
