I was wondering if you can still actually play an older EA football game online even after a newer version has been released.

Actually I know NCAA 2005 is terrible, but I am more interested in keeping madden 05 for online play and not upgrading. But I am sure the greedy bastages at EA wouldn't allow you to do that.

I am almost positive you can.

A day or two ago someone on my friends list was playing it.

Heck, you could play NCAA 2004 online up until a month ago.
