I'm Arizona State and visiting Oregon State. In the 3rd quarter I had just scored a field goal. Upon the kickoff the OSU KR "muffed" the kickoff. About 5 or 6 OSU players try to converge and cover up the ball, but it is just being kicked around as they can't pick it up. Anyways my ASU player recovers the ball in the endzone for a TD. Now while it seems like this play could happen in real life as they wouldn't be able to pick the ball up (footballs arent round), it seems like these 5 or 6 players could eventually cover the ball up before my players got down the field. I'm having a tough time determining if this is more like a glitch or a realistic play...What do you all think?

i have watched a lot of college football and i have seen stranger things happen...

If you aren't diving on the football, then trying to pick up a football on the ground is very difficult when going full speed and especially when it bounces around.

This happened to me a few times on both 2004 and 2005 as well. I thought they were pretty cheap scores, but I still took them.

As a Beaver fan this year I am sorry to say that this year that might actualy happen.

As my High School coaches always told me, when you see a fumble just drop on it, don't try to pick it up. Lots of things can go wrong (hence the odd shape).

Probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen in NCAA (2005 in this case) was when I was playing my friend and forced him into a punt from his endzone. He shanked it and the ball took one of those bounces you'll only see in that version of the game at his 30 yard line and bounced backwards through the end zone he just kicked it from. I thought it would be a safety so I was expecting him to punt it from his 20, but I was lining up for an extra point because that play was a touchdown for me? wha?
