Re: 2005 or 2006 controls

I've been using 2005 but since you can't celebrate/highstep with these I'm gonna switch to the new controls. I've been spending alot of time in practice mode trying to get used to them. After 4 straight years of the same controls it's hard to adjust.

I think I'm finally getting used to the controls, but it's taken me almost two weeks. I like the new controls now, but it looks like they took out the little lateral juke. I've seen my guy do it a few times and the computer more than that, but it seems like it's one of the random computer-just-juking-for-you-since-your-rb-has-high-awareness or whatever kind of things. I'm still not used to the hit stick since I haven't been a Madden player in years, either.

i like the 06 controls way better. If you have a scrambling quarterback then its a lot easier to make a throw on the run. It took me about a week to get used to it, but now that im used to it, i love it.

2006 controls just feel so much more natural then 05's.

Before NCAA 06, the only football game I had played on XBOX was the ESPN series (I only got Madden for PS2), so the 06 control scheme works out quite nicely for me.

The lateral fake is still the white button on Xbox, I believe.

Re: 2005 or 2006 controls

2006 control is WAY better than 2005. You guys who say you can't get used to it just need to give it more time. It took me about 12 or 13 games to get it down but now I do and it's well worth the time to get used to IMO.
