Punt Returns = The NEW money play?

Is it just me or are punt returns easy to return for TDs? I'm playing on AA with Jistic sliders. The game plays very well but punt returns are so easy. As South Carolina, I returned 4 Punts for TDs and won 35 -28. I returned 4 against Central Florida as well...

I've let the AI return punts for me and even they return them for TDs.

Any suggestions?

I have this problem as well playing on AA. I've returned 5 for TD's after 8 games when the next best in the country has 2. My return man is good (low 90's speed, agility, and acceleration), but not good enough to be as successful as he has been.

By the way, how do you let the cpu return them for you?

I don't have this problem too much on AA. Of course, I'm using default sliders and have ALWAYS sucked at returns.

I just turned down the punt length a bit and now have very little room to move and am lucky to get one 10 yards

You've got that right. The kickers and punters in this game (like the QBs) are overrated. If you leave FG/Punt Length at 50, they kick it further than they should be able to. End result: the punters outkick the coverage, giving your blockers time to set up. I have my Punt Length set to 40% (or is it 35%?), and the CPU still averages about 48 yards.

I'm playing as UNC on Heisman and don't get that many punt returns for TDs. When I'm playing against teams like South Florida I will get a few. But when I get into conference play they don't come that often. I get one every couple of game if I'm playing against good teams
