Bowl Games

Hey I was checking out the Bowls in a simulated dynasty and I think I saw some new ones.

Champs Sports Bowl - Orlando, Fla., 12/21
At Large Bid vs. ACC #4

Poinsettia Bowl - San Diego, Calif., 12/22
At Large Bid vs. Mountain West #4

Meineke Car Care Bowl - Charlotte, NC, 12/30 (#14 FSU vs. Arizona)
ACC #5 vs. At Large Bid

Just so you kids know, they had #2 Virginia (12-0) vs. #1 USC (12-0) in the National Championship Game.

The Champs Sports bowl has been around. I even watched it last December. I think the same is true of the Car Care Bowl, though I may have missed that one.

The Pointsettia Bowl is a new one. If they play it on the winter solstice, that's pretty cool since that is the day that the bowl's namesake plant's flowers bloom.

Re: Bowl Games

Champs Sports and Car Care Bowl sound new to me. At least on NCAA. I thought they were put in to counter the ACC expansion to 12 teams.

In the National title game, USC won... again.

Right now I am simming a Race for the Heisman as a HB at Miami. He looks bad ***.

Re: Bowl Games

Speaking of the Bowls, have they improved the logos on the 50 yardline for the Rose & Orange Bowls? In previous versions the logos are way too small.....takes a little bit away from the atmosphere for me.

Re: Bowl Games

I haven't played either of them. How big are you thinking they should be? I think the logos are all the same size at the 50-yardline in every stadium.

I can quickly check out the stadiums if you like.

Champs Sports was around last year at least - Ga Tech killed Syracuse, it was previously the Tangerine Bowl

Meineke Car Care Bowl was the Continental Tire Bowl last year

Poinsettia Bowl is the one new bowl this year

Re: Bowl Games

Oh okay. Why did they rename the Tangerine Bowl? Also, did Continental Tire go under or something? Did not renew their agreement for the naming rights?

The new names, new logos and inclusion of the ACC in them led me to believe they were because of the ACC growth.

Does nobody else find it hard to see the players sometimes against the logos at midfield? I wish we had an option to turn those off or make them much lighter in color so that it doesn't take away from the player/field contrast.
