Stretch plays actually work this year. And you can actually cut back on them. I ran several last game. A couple the defense over pursued and I cut back and got good yardage. One the defense pinched, and I broke it outside for a nice run. And on one the defense maintained their leverage and I was stuffed.

This is the first game I have played that properly executes the stretch running plays.

Also does a nice job in the screen/draw game as well.

Yeah, I think this year they defenitely fixed some plays. Like you said the stretch works, as now does the screen and the draw. I used to hate the draw because it would almost lead me to losing yardage, but now I love it. as it fakes the pass pretty well and I can finally run it effectively.

I agree. At first I found myself avoiding these plays because I'm used to them not working but what do you know they work pretty good.

One play I really like is the shotgun speed option pass. Good to use if you have a fast QB and you have already ran a couple options in the same situation.

Good call BK. The screens set up very nicely..the WR's block well and give you room to get upfield.

Ya - I love the stretch plays. They are the perfect class that alow you to vary between inside and outside running plays. It is nice too, because sometimes you can break big runs on the stretch plays - especially when you get the corner.

About the shotgun speed option...how do you give the ball to the back on the QB option? I tried pressing A but the QB still runs the ball.

I run the speed option out of the shotgun with Troy Smith. It's a great play but, it's not a money play. You need to hit the black button to get it to the back, but be damn sure he's there because you will fumble.

It's also good to see that the screens finally work.
