I have a Samsung drive and have yet to have any problems with it. I've played about 20 games so far. I just hope my luck with what seems to be the inferior drive keeps up.

I have the Samsung Drive and Ive had the dirty disk error atleast during 4 games all of which happened to be on-line ggrrr

Samsung drive bought in feb. born on date 11/3/05. Just one dde at the end of 1 game. played about 15 games.

Hitacthi Drive in my launch 360, never had one issue, ever

Hitachi drive and no issues at all. This is my third 360 though. First one had the 3 red lights of death, second was a refurbished from MS that had the one quadrant red light many times, but not every time when I turned it on. That one Gamestop took back and gave me the one I have now.

Not sure what the first two were for drives though. I'm guessing not a Hitachi, since I have not had one problem with the Hitachi one in 3 or 4 months of having it now.
