I am glad the presentation sucks.....

I am loving this game. In my opinion this is by far the best representation of football in the video game medium yet.

That being said I am happy the presentation blows. I am also happy that the big man on campus mode is absent. I would love to have better presentation, don't get me wrong, but if it comes down to it give me gameplay any day of the week.

The absent modes and lack of presentation show me that EA worked hard on the football side of things. With only a finite amount of time and resources would you rather them work on "incorporating the ESPN logo" or gameplay?

I think for once they made the right call. How many of you would have been much happier if they scrapped "the Crib" (and David Arquette and Carmen Elektra) in a certain other game if they got franchise mode right?

If NCAA on the 360 is the best representation of football ever then I am gonna be real depressed for the next 5 years.

they've had the ESPN license for like 2 years now. the 2k franchise did more with it in less time. I like this game, but it just shows how slow EA will move now that they are basically the unchallenged kings of football games.

Come on, we go over this every ****ing week.

1. The NFL was selling its rights anyway.

2. Sega's NCAA games sucked hard

3. Sega made NFL2k so well because it was a HUGE underdog. It couldn't get by on rep so it had to be great

4. We've seen what Sega did with exclusive rights, and it was far worse than NCAA or Madden

I love NFL2k5, but please, let it rest in peace. EA could release 2k5 as Madden 08 and you would find all the flaws in it and claim it sucks.

I'm not sure why the initial post assumes you could only have presentation or gameplay correct but not both for a first game. Of course people will expect a little less for a first iteration but I'm not sure why bad presentation would ever make anyone glad. I haven't even played the game on the 360 to know if its even true but that statement seems odd. I could say, "I'm glad green beans suck because it makes sweet corn taste so good" but it still doesn't make a lot of sense.

Edit: I do know what you are saying but saying "I am glad the presentation sucks" is going a bit too far.
