If you press X (PS2) when the QB is faking the handoff, he'll actually hand it off. How long has that been in place for? Or have I just never done that and it's been around since NCAA 2004 (or earlier)?

This is the first I've heard about it. It's never done that in past versions that I've noticed. I'll have to check this out later.

Yes, this is a great feature, especially on a 2nd and 5 or so, also on any option play with a fullback, if you hold x, it will give the ball to the fullback as well.

I knew about this for the tripple option, never knew it worked for PA....

Doesnt seem like it works on the 360, I just tried it with michigan. I have seen plays though that are passing plays but says Halfback option, which might be the case here.

There are certain PA read plays that give you the option to hand-off or take the play-action. He might just be using one of those.
