How do you "establish pipelines"? I am not new to the game but just new to the Pipeline concept.

I believe you need at least 5 players on your team from the state you want to pipeline.

So say your Illinois, Illinois is automatically your pipeline because you start out with like 40 guys from Illinois. Then if you wan't to pipeline say Ohio you have to have I think 5 guys commit from that state to pipeline it for the next season.

It may not be a set 5 players it may be different depending on the state I'm really not sure.

I had read you only needed 3 players from a state but I really don't know. Since I don't have many pipeline states, 5 may be the correct answer.

it is usually 3 players but if u dont graduate that many players then u might need 4 for that particular year (its a % of players on ur team from that state). In-season recruits count for that state.

If you carry 70 on your roster, you will need four from a state to establish a pipeline.

If you carry less than a certain number you will only need 3.

(I forgot what that number was, because I always carry 70.)

Really? I definately have 70 on my roster and I also have some states with only 3 guys that are considered pipeline states. I"m pretty sure it's just 3 no matter how big your roster is.

It may be a little more complicated then we think. I always carry as close to 70 as I can get. I've had a year where I had 4 guys on my roster from Illinois and 4 from Florida. Both states had been pipelines for at least 2 seasons prior. Illinois ended up not being a pipeline for that year while Florida remained a pipeline. Since then I try to make sure I keep at least 5 guys from all my pipeline states.
