It's there on the PS2 too. You just need to set it up with running plays and then go playaction or something. And don't try to throw deep into double coverage, it won't work, you need single coverage.

And I've thrown plenty of deep passes with my receivers making over the shoulder grabs, I don't see an issue there.

I've got two 89 ovr WR's that catch balls like willie mays all the time. And I use Army. Even then, I have to set them up with my scrambing QB or running back drawing the defense up. Sorry you don't know how to play the game correctly.

Yes I've been a victim of the cpu hail mary quick score, but that's due to poor defensive AI. Learn to control the secondary yourself and this won't happen.
