O.K. fellas I need a quick crash course in Photoshop, using CS2 version, and haven't done commercial artwork in 10 years and I need a big a@@ hand!!!

Since nobody has time to make me one could someone please tell me how to do it? Which Adobe thing do I need? I have Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 There is no layer features anywhere. So I downloaded the CS 2 Adobe thing. Step by step, how do I do this. I've messed with this thing for more than 8 hrs since Sunday and cannot even get close to what I am trying to do. How do I make the EA template transparent or whatever? In other words, instead of taking 5 minutes to make me one, can someone take 30 and explain (in really ELEMENTARY terms) how the fu** to do this. I've started yelling at my dog, and I never do that.

how do i cut people out of one picture and paste it to the template? when i open the template, then open another pic i'm trying to use, they're in seperate "label" windows so i can't set the template as one layer, and my pic as another??? COMPLETELY LOST AND FRUSTRATED!!! and obviously ********.
