Who should be your team's impact players?

Quote:
Amen. the 3 per team rule is crap too. Let's just take a school here... um... Michigan. Now if OL can be impact players too, then Michigan has 4 options on offense... ALONE! Henne, Hart, Manningham, Long. On defense: Taylor, Adams and Crable are options. So that leaves Michigan a legit National Title contender with 7 Impact players!!! Let's take a smaller school like Marshall for instance... I could see making Doug Legursky (Rimington hopeful) on offense, and DE Albert McClellan on defense. With maybe the addition of TE Cody Slate and MLB Josh Johnson. Sooo you have Michigan with a minimum 7 impact players vs. a Marshall team with 2-4 impact players and you have the matchup you expect to have. A blowout by Michigan as that do essentially whatever they want to do. Adding all those impact players to powerhouse schools will make it more realistic because then you can shutdown the great running backs from bad schools more easily. It also makes it harder when you decide to take the big step up and schedule one of the powerhouse schools. Sooo... after having said that I'm going to spin this to another thread for debate.
I posted that here: Offensive Linemen eligible to be an Impact Player?

So if EA would give us the option for unlimited impact players (as opposed to doing roles like Madden), who would be an Impact Player on your team?

For Michigan, no way on Taylor or Adams. Crable would be the best bet on defense, but if OL are impact players now, then it's no doubt Hart, Manningham, and Long (with Henne being the odd man out since the 3 Impact Player thing is still in).

Re: Who should be your team's impact players?

WVU

QB #5 Pat White
"Runningback with an arm" seems appropriate here. 1,655 yards passing (13 TD), 1,219 rushing (18 more TDs) is enough to give any stats-fan a chubby.

RB #10 Steve Slaton
2,104 yards of offense from a guy who could only pack the ball with one arm (needed offseason wrist surgery), and missed bowl game due to deep thigh bruise. Yeah, he's a Heisman hopeful for a reason... he followed up 19 TDs as a true freshman with 18 more this past season.

FB #35 Owen Schmitt
A fan favorite. A bulldozer. Blocking still needs improved, but a wrecking ball when the balls in his hands. Has only been tackled for a loss once in 113 carries. In back to back bowl games vs. Georgia and Georgia Tech he's carried the ball 22 times for 191 yards.

LT #62 Ryan Stanchek
Freshman All-American at LG moved to LT last season after Damien Crissey sprained his ankle in the first game of the saeson. WVU finished 2nd in the nation in rushing.

LG #79 Greg Isdaner
This man replaced Stanchek after Crissey's injury and also replaced him as a Freshman All-American.

DE/DT #96 Keilen ****s
All Big-East performer who recorded 5.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks last season. 6'5", 295 lbs.

S #41 Eric Wicks
The next great WVU safety didn't miss a beat after Lorello and Addea's departures. 11 TFL, 7 sacks, 3 interceptions, 7 pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Ah, well in that case then yeah, Hart, Long, Henne and Manningham, probably Crable. But nobody else on defense.
