I don't think I'd want the game speed to be too much faster because then you wouldn't be able to think fast enough to either juke, spin, stiffarm, etc. The speed is just right for a video game.

And to the original poster, the retail game is much faster than the demo IMHO

I was concerned about the speed after playing the demo

I was blown away by the speed, its faster than that Demo.
