How do you throw a lob pass consistently???

Looked for a topic and did not see one.

How do you consistently throw a lob pass??? It appears that there is consistency whatsoever.

Uhm, you can't. That's one of the things EA fixed, hence the improved DB AI.

I don't think that's what he's asking. According to the in-depth manual that comes with the game, you're supposed to be able to lob the ball by lightly tapping the button for the receiver you're throwing to. I have not been able to get this to work at all. I haven't gone into practice yet to just keep trying it over and over to see if it's situational.

Lightly tapping it, but that still seems a little inconsistent to me. I also believe holding up on LS while throwing helps, but I need to check into that more.

Yeah, every time I try to lead a receiver who has steps on a DB I just hit the DB in the back of the head.

I don't seem to have a problem with this - I've been able to drop passes over LBs and under safeties without too much of a problem. It just comes with feel I think. Go into practice mode, put the ball at the 10 and throw fades into the corners of the endzones, just one after another. Maybe that will help with finding the feel.

They removed the "lead" passing feature so you can't lead anyone anymore.

I think the buttons are pressure sensitive (at least the PS3) since its very touchy but still possible to lob. I do think its very difficult to throw it over a LB and in front of a safety.

The buttons are pressure sensitive and hold the left stick in the direction you want to lead the receiver. Ive thrown some (emphasis...SOME) perfect lobs which is realistic. Also I my favorite team is Louisville, which happens to have the best QB on the game. I agree with EA, though, that it shouldn't be just be bombs away. I played DB in college and most deep throws are too long or too short. Only SOME are perfect.
