Go for the interception or bat it down ??

On a normal basis, do you find yourself going for the pick or just knocking the ball down when in a pass defense situation ??

I normally try to make the big play and go for the ball but I don't know if it is the players I am using or what but I have been finding it very difficult to make interceptions this year. It seems I hit the Y button, but the animation does not fire off in time and the ball goes past me.. Knocking the ball down has been very responsive so I have been changing my play style..

Anyone else experience similiar situations ???

I find myself going for the pick, but that's just out of pure habit. I'm trying to change it so I go for the swat, but I'm so used to pressing Y that I forget to press A.

well in real life...
if it was 4th and long in their 20 or whatever and the QB just chucks it really far and you have a chance of intercepting it, the smart thing to do would be just swap it down. but i just go for the picks
