I think the time when the running animations are at their worst is when a player breaks into open field. You can really notice that something isn't right then. Reminds me a little of 2k5's running animations.

The animations are definitely below average. The funny thing is that the All Pro 2k8 running animations are actually better (which is hilarious if you saw previous 2k football running animations).

I think the running animations look fine, the only complaint I have is that shorter, faster guys should have legs that rotate much more quickly, ie take one look at the Hawai'i wide receivers in real life, then look at the game, their legs move too slow in the game, far too slow. I think they can't fix this because it would be a hit on the FPS though, at least that is my speculation.
