True. In 5-6 years, those games are making tremendous strides. You can see 5-6 years of work. Madden hasn't dropped yet, but judging from NCAA, EA has not covered nearly the same ground in their 3 years on the 360. In fact, like many have stated, there are features still missing that were in their game 5-6 years ago.

This is year 2 for NCAA and year 3 for Madden I dont know about you guys but I do not want a game with next gen graphics and a lot of unrealistic features that are in current gen.

I want next gen graphics and next gen game play some of those features I like like smart routes and smart zones but others like play maker D thats one of the most unrealistic features ever added to the franchise. The only reason it was added in the first place was because the systems didn't have enough power implement anything else. No LB or S in the NFL hot routes the entire defense in a game. I would have much rather seen a new system created that gives the user more options for the DL core, LB core, and secondary instead we got old gen play maker D.

On the game development side the devs are just now starting to get the hang of developing for the 360 (the PS3 thats another story) they even admitted that they caught hell the first two years.

Like someone above just stated. This engine has been used for Madden/NCAA now for 3 years on the 360.The CORE football engine. So using a 12 month dev. cycle is kind of moot.75-85% of the game is already finished for Madden 09, NCAA 09.Essentially it's like adding a new coat of paint and some animations every year.

NCAA 08 is light years beyond 07 for 360 this year****ns so much smoother, fluid. But in doing that they made the crowd react as zombies. And also gave LBs and DBs gorilla arms. It's the 2 steps forward, 1 step back approach that happens in almost every annual sports game.

Your playing level accounts for the interceptions by the CPU. How do you explain the high number of user team interceptions? Many are complaining about the high number of interceptions for both teams.

Folks are also reporting a high number of picks despite INT sliders set to 0.
Yeah, I'm not sure on the sensitivity issue. I don't know what to say on that note, I'm just giving the corresponding receiver a quick tap and it's worked for me.

High user team int's are generated by sliders and your abilities to read the defense. Last night on Heisman, there were 2 int's each by each QB. I didn't think that was bad for college.

It's not just the INT sliders that affect INT's. It's QB Accur , Wr catching, defensive awr and knockdowns. You need to play with all four of these to develop the sliders you deem appropriate for int's on both sides of the ball. Also, pump fakes and play action passes are good calls as well.

It's not as easy as just setting int's to 0 on both ends. Once you feel you have the right balance with the above 4 sliders, you need to play at least 5-10 games for a larger sample size vs 1 or 2 games.

I wish sliders were more concrete. If I put the interception slider down to zero, I expect there to be no/damn near none interceptions in the game. If I turn up PI to the max, I expect a flag to be thrown on every passing play.

To me, it makes no sense to have these sliders if they don't make that type of impact in the game. This isn't a problem that I have with NCAA 08 but with just sports games in general.

Exactly. Last year it got really monotonous to play this game. This year, to me, it's a completely different game. I enjoy it a lot. The only interceptions I've thrown have been dumb throws that right when I threw it I said to myself "oh no". I've seen two fumbles, both recovered by me. I'm not seeing many of the problems people are complaining about here.

I honestly do not think people will ever be happy with some games.

NCAA 06 was the last one I really enjoyed, NCAA 07 (for Xbox) I didnt really get into as much as I wanted and sold it in a month. And im going to skip out on this years version and hope for the best on NCAA 09.
