Silders defeat the purpose of player ATTRIBUTES

I'd hate it even more if there were no option for sliders and the I destroyed the Ai every game with the default released settings.

Sliders do not defeat the purpose of ratings, it's a sliding scale. In other words if you turn down WR catch for human then the best WR's who may have been 95 catch before may now catch 90 whereas the person who caught at a 80 rating before now catches at 75. So ratings still matter, it's just basically a global slider for that specific attribute.

Sliders are important because everyone has their different idea of what makes a game fun and realistic. Some people may think it's unrealistic for a lot of QB's to throw for 300 yards whereas other people may be quite happy with that for example.
