I also find using the d-pad to lead receivers works better.

I don't hit the deep ball that often and I also find it rare that a WR beats a CB deep but it does happen on rare occasions. I almost NEVER see a WR beat a CB by three or four yards though which should happen more often in college. I don't have great WRs though.

I think we're beating around the bush here. If the question is whether defenders are too quick to recover when a reciever gets open, the answer is yes. Anyone arguing anything else is kidding themselves.

Quite often i recruited a Wr with 99spd and he consistently goes deep on fly/post/streak patterns and makes catches.

I don't know if I've ever hit a receiver in stride, ever, on any NCAA game, either deep, short or medium.

On NCAA08 it is impossible to beat a defender deep, one on one.

Wrong...and I play on Heisman too. I do it all the time. I usually tap up on the control stick when I hit the button (just a tap) and it's a floater over the head of the CB and into the arms of the WR. Absolutely gorgeous when it works.

That would be incorrect...........why even say that?

I play on Heisman and it does happen so I guarantee it can happen on the lower levels ( I cannot imagine not being able to beat a corner on varsity).......Maybe once or twice a season I will see one and it is basically the result of the "perfect storm" - usually involving a quick pump fake which causes the CB or S to bite for a second (usually slipping which looks sweet), then simply pushing up on the stick to lead your guy a bit.....sometimes it is in stride but I have also seen him dive and catch, as well as stretching out and missing it.
