One thing I'll add is that the so-called "drop problem" from 06 was definately an Xbox problem (sorry to disagree, Sage). I remember very clearly people complaining about it, and they were always Xbox guys. Sure the PS2 version saw maybe a few more drops than one would expect, but it wasn't anything near a "problem," and in fact I never even exprienced it at all. Sometimes guys drop passes. Ask anyone who watched Braylon Edwards' college career.

Thanks again, and I think what I'm gonna do is pick up 06 (probably can get it for 20 bucks) and then rent 08 (PS2) and see how that goes. I'm still scared that the CPU won't be able to run in the 06 version. How's that going for you, nxt?
The cpu had the strongest run game in 06. I actually had to tone down the run sliders for both teams a bit. I remember playing Texas and Vince Young just went crazy. He had close to 200 yards himself against me. It was fun after being completely dominant on defense in the previous versions. Good luck

My boy and I experienced the drop problem in 05 on both systems. I've never seen it in 06 either.

Biggest flaws for each version, best of my recollection:

03- Can't remember, lost too many brain cells since then
04 - Robo-QB comeback logic
05- dropped passes (some say HFA overdone)
06- deep ball too easy to complete, and too hard to defend (some would say impact players)
07- momentum meter, turnover-fest (mainly big hits causing fumbles)
08- horrible defensive AI, mainly pursuit angles (and momentum meter)

People keep talking about this but I honestly dont see it. I play on default heisman and I'm not seeing any more big plays by me or the cpu than what I seen in 07. I didnt get my copy until around christmas though, could it be they may have fixed it? I use speed burst all the time and it feels about the same as 07 to me. I even played 07 and 08 back to back just to compare. Heck I'm glad I dont see it.

goto to play now and pick WVU. Then start doing the shot gun sprint option.

I hope so, I havent noticed it so far. I actually read somewhere by some dude that he could run right up to his endzone then turn to the left, run backward, and then to his endzone again, and still not be tackled or something like that. I KNOW its not that bad with my version. I highly doubt my version is any different though, so I dont know.
