I can never understand where Tiburon gets its apologists. If Sony wasn't able to incorporate umpires into The Show, 3 years into development on a next gen system, they'd take some well deserved flack. I think it's a lack of talent at Tiburon. What "classic" ever came from their studio?

If the gameplay is at where it should be. Fast, gripping, and intense... Then you wouldn't notice the refs anyways. Hopefully this is the case. It hasn't been in 5yrs.

2k has the same apologists. Had Sony or EA come out with games that had colossal framerate problems among a few other glaring problems, which unlike umpires or refs actually affect gameplay, would they be getting the same free pass 2k does? Blinded brand loyal apologists are not an EA only phenomenon.
