It could be. Maybe the NCAA didn't want them in to protect their image or something.

Yeah I'm honestly beginning to think they've requested that they be left out because with the recent NFL not wanting them in in real life it would be the same reasons.

That could very well be the case, but what I don't get, is that if they are allowed on the field of play, then why not in a video game? If its about protecting image, shouldn't they be more focused on the image of their product on the field of play where they are viewed by more people than they are in a video game?

Although they do not have dreadlocks in the game, Players with a Certain Face in NCAA Football 2008, when drafted into Madden 2008, would end up with Long Hair/Dreadlocks, My thoughts are the NCAA had something to do with them not being in the game.
