Yes...it means something.

Hell...Kodiak, Candyman, and I have been scrimmaging each other in 08 the last few weeks.

I'm Auburn. Kodiak is FSU. Candyman is Miami.

Auburn, who is ranked 13th in 08, is VASTLY inferior ratings wise to both the Noles and the Canes on here.

It's like trying to get through a brick wall against Miami's O and D lines with AU's O and D lines.

That normally wouldn't be a problem...if FSU and Miami were both coming off 3-4 consecutive 10+ win seasons...instead of wallowing in mediocrity the last half decade.

Miami is unranked and FSU is 23rd in 08..and both are rated like Top 5 Teams.

That BS is what drives me INSANE with EA's ratings every year. Because its always the same.

Re: EA Sports: NCAA 2009 Team Ratings

well i was curious about the ratings and how it was with default rosters for '08. so i reloaded the default roster and started a new dynasty(the only place to see the number ratings of the team i think)

these are the teams that had a 99 in any category.

Michigan had 99 overall, 99 off, 97 def, 74 Spt.(special teams)
USC had 99 on everything but Spt, which was 79.
West Virginia had 94 overall, 99 off, 87 def, 81 spt.
Texas had 94 overall, 99 off, 89 def, 77 spt

so i guess 99's are nothing new(didn't think it was)

The list I posted was just my opinion. Sorry if that wasn't conveyed in my post. Those ratings are more to my thinking/liking.

Re: EA Sports: NCAA 2009 Team Ratings

To say FSU has had its offensive struggles the past two, three years is being nice. You can't rationally put them on par with a team like Oregon, Kansas or even Illinois - regardless of who they return on offense. Maybe they'll turn the corner this year and use more than screen passes to set up the run, but they shouldn't break the low 80s.

p.s. I went through those ratings pretty fast, and I tend to be stingy with grades. But those adjustments by EA would be a good start IMO.

Ok got ya. Then that doesn't make much sense. I was just wondering and asked because I haven't played that much next gen football.

Penn State 91 overall? Wow. Getting Some Love. I'm not entirely sure why, but I'll take it.
