Anyhoo, who freaking cares. That's the same list from the last 5 years. It never changes.

Actually, The Swamp used to be #1 until maybe 2 years ago or even last year.

Re: Top 25 Toughest Places To Play

There must be one heck of a falloff from #3 to #9 because I've been to both Ohio State and Virginia Tech home games and it's like comparing David to Goliath in terms of sheer volume.

I'm glad Oregon moved up a little bit, but they seriously overlook how we set the record for loudest crowd noise in the USA...should be at least 4 or 5

Notre Dame at 15 and USC at 11 are jokes.

USC as a TEAM is great.

But that crowd is lackluster to say the least. I was not impressed with the crowd noise when I went out to LA in 2002.

NCAA Football 09 Top 25 Toughest Places to Play: Pasta Padre

Pasta Padre has posted a article called NCAA Football 09 Top 25 Toughest Places to Play.

Quote:
"It was hard to judge how much difference there is from playing at a difficult venue compared to a mild one. QB composure seemed to be the most significant aspect of realizing the effects regardless of where you were playing, and it may be that the more intimidating the environment the more rattled opposing QBs can get."

Not true, CU has not been on the list before.

I'm a huge Buff fan and CU has a loyal fan base, but they have not been good enough lately to justify this ranking.

I guess the Oklahoma upset and the Husker massacre (yes, NU was overrated last year) heavily influenced EA.

i'm surprised South Carolina isn't any higher (but i can see why cause of the record) because they're nuts when it comes to giving an away team hell.
