How do I stop the run and still stop pa fb in the the flat

how do I play against the run and at the same time stop the play action pass to the full back in the flats... I use the 3-3-5 playbook btw... thanks

I don't use a 3-3-5 but I would suggest some zone blitzes, so you can clog that line up and still have a DB or LB in the flats. Not all of the time obviously, but with any play call its situational. Thats what I would do.

blitz, but run man under zone. This way the fullback(which might actually be a runningback) will be covered in man and you will still have a man or two in zone up top. You can still blitz a guy or two.

cover 2 zone blitz make sure to pass commit as this will make your defense ignore the fake.

Doesn't work. The LB covering the Full Back gets sucked in on the play fake.

Zone blitz is probably your best choice... and you should have plenty of Zone Blitz options with 5 guys (3 LB's, 2 S's) at the second level in a 3-3-5.
