Running the ball?

So I thought the running game was supposed to be so much better. I can't get through any hole without a defensive player shaking off the block right a the right time to get me. I know it's early and maybe I will figure it out, but I thought I would ask.

Also, what are people doing in the open field to beat defenders? I might be hitting the juke button too late, but I can't manually break a tackle or shake a defender at all....

Re: Running the ball?

Try hitting the juke button sooner. Remember that you can juke with the left stick now, too and you can use both sticks in combination. That should help. Remember to mix up your jukes as well (spin, stiff-arm, stop, truck, etc). Hope that helps.

1) do not use speedburst until you find a hole
2) try to spread the d out, singleback works pretty well.
3) read your blocks and try to find holes in the d.
4) try not to rely on special moves until you get into space.
5) Mess with the sliders a bit, up user run block and rb ability.

Check if you're RB is cold, or you o-line is cold.

If that, start passing with your QB and let your RB turn back to neutral.

And change up your snap count/cadence, if they defense jumps the snap its all over.

Mix up pass and run, and you'll get the hang of it.

Re: Running the ball?

When you receive the hand off, don't sprint immediately, that is the best advice I can give you. Do your best to wait that extra .5 second to second to find a hole and then sprint through it. If you are sprinting right from the hand off(like i used to in previous versions) then you will have a hard time. Sometimes there just won't be a hole in which case just run behind any guys you have left standing.

Running game is super easy this year. With the running combos feature, you can turn an average running back into Adrian Peterson.

Re: Running the ball?

I just said F the running game. In my dynasty i'm ranked #2 overall in Passing Yards and #109 in Rushing Yards. Quite a gap there. I'll only run the ball if it's 1st down. Doesn't matter If it's 2nd & 5, 1, or 0.2. I'm still throwing it lol
