EA's NCAA exclusive rights

When does it expire so we can see some competition?

Don't get your hopes up. They'll just renew.

I agree that they will just renew. I also don't know how much difference competition would make right now, I loved NFL 2k5 but I don't think their college game received as much acclaim. Any company who wanted to make an NCAA game would now be a few years behind anyways, as it typically takes a year or two to establish a game and start putting things together.

Re: EA's NCAA exclusive rights

I would bet that if 2k had the chance to make a NCAA game they would put a huge effort into it. With out the ability to make a NFL game they could put all their man power into it. I just wish we could find out.

Really, than why did it receive good reviews by dozens of game sites, check metacrtic, and also backed-up by user reviews at gamefaqs. It used the NFL2k2 engine which was great for it's time and probably would have mature in a positive way just like the NFL2k series did.

That game was so far behind NFL2k2 it wasn't funny. Sure it may have gotten better but EA was lapping them at the time. Had we known that EA would regress the NCAA franchise for 3 straight years than maybe we would have wanted NCAA 2k series to continue, but at the time it was simply garbage.
