Campus Legend Progression? Input needed

Does anyone know how this is factored?

My cousin and I are both doing a campus legend with a QB.

He is a QB for Michigan and started his freshman season right away.

I am a QB for Texas Tech and was 2nd string until I surpassed the starting QB.

We both had the same abilities as a Freshman QB...83 OVR, 88 SP, ETC.

He is now in his junior season and has played 2 games. He is a 90 Overall and his speed has not progressed, nor have his Throwing Attributes.
I am late in my sophomore season and I am already a 99 Overall and my THP is 99 and my THA is 98. My speed has also increased to a 93.

We both have identical records with our teams, the same post season awards, very similar stats, etc.

Does anyone know why his player would be a 90 OVR and mine a 99? We can't really come up with much of a conclusion other than the fact that I was 2nd string to start and had to beat out the 96 OVR starter. Does that really factor into things? Also, why would my guy be gaining speed attributes and his not at all, despite very similar stats and team records?

If anyone has any insight into this and could be of any help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you were probaby doing the practices in order to move up in the depth chart. Doing that can improve your attributes. He was probably just playing games because he already was the starter.

Plus, you guys probably had different evening activities which could lead to different attributes + or -

I had something similar to what you described happen last year with my 2 QB Campus Legends.

We are both Balanced QB's

I practice everyday without simming, then one day a week I study the playbook, go to library, then gym, and on Friday go to the trainer. This seems to work pretty well as far as getting your attributes up and keeping your g.p.a. high so you are eligible to play.

Think about this, if you aren't the starter, whats the only way for you to get moved up on the depth chart? Its if your Overall imporves to higher than that of the person above you. So if you went to Texas Tech where the starter was a 96 Overall, once you passed him on the depth chart, you were a 97 overall, so really as a Freshman you were a 97 and your cousin was an 83. That's why you are better. If you would have both been starters at your respective schools from the get go, you probably would have very similar attributes.
