Re: Where do I start..

I can't see how you guys recommend him 08 over 09! 08 had the same super QB problem where the QBs are deadly accurate except it had that awful turnover problem. It was impossible to go a pick-free game. Add in super LBs to that too. The running game in 09 is so much better than 08 as far as control goes. In 08 the running backs would break 3-4 tackles at one time, it's much better this go round. Except the CPU running game is broken. But most of this should be fixed in the patch which is 2-3 weeks away.

So I'd say go ahead and get it, after both patches come out it should be extremely playable.

Re: Where do I start..

you can actually play NCAA 2009 on your 08 disc. play on varsity with all defensive sliders at 0 and QB acc at 100. play nothing but dime prevent defense to make sure the CPU completes every single pass. enjoy playing a 72-63 game followed by a 65-59 game between teams with C offenses and A+ defenses.

NCAA 09 by far ...08 was subpar at best. If you're a novice player you will not even notice any glitches in the game. Yes the AI in 09 isn't all that great but hopefully it'll get patched. Graphically with the lighting and everything 09 looks so much better and teams don't have those shiny, silky looking jerseys like 08 !!!!!

Re: Where do I start..

If you like to have fun definitely get ncaa 09.

If you want true football sim, its not really what you're looking for.

Things that are overblown (they exist but not to the epic proportions some are suggesting:

Robo qb- deadly accurate. but is defensable. you just need a lotta stick skill and hope you've called the right defense.

return game - pretty easy to take one to the house, if you have a guy with 95+ speed. just do unrealistic stuff like swerving frantically and you'll get one.

All i am saying is, the game is definitely flawed, but is fun nonetheless.

IMHO there are no gamebreaking features.
