In case any of you haven't heard, it looks like the new Madden has no CPU sliders. I don't mean that they're
broken. I mean they don't exist. Lead designer on Madden has confirmed it. There's the gimmicky Madden-AI and user sliders. I get a headache just thinking about the process that will have to go into balancing cpu/user.
I'd given up
on NCAA because I figured Madden would give me another fairly unrealistic game out of the box but allow me to customize CPU and user sliders. Evidently I was wrong.
Madden/NCAA are both plagued by super qbs/dumbed d
own defenses.
If EA releases a patch to fix the sliders for NCAA it should be the more realistic game this year. EA can't fix Madden sliders since it would involve changing the user interface, something they've said th
ey can't/won't do.
Smart money is on NCAA if you eventually want a realistic football game. Sometime
around October.
And that's right, I subliminally said it. Boo, EA! Boo!
You can find more info, including developer feedback, on the Madden forum. In a thread not-so-aptly named '
New and More Sliders!!'. Never before have multiple exclamation marks led to such bad news.
Minus the time my doc texted me "u have cancer!!!!!11! lolQ!1!".
I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your moderator.
