Defense

Anyone aware of any defensive set or plays that allow you to put pressure on the QB? When I pick a zone blitz, not only do they get blocked ALL the time, but it also leaves huge holes in my defense. I am lost, and usually just resort to avoiding all blitz plays since they dont work anyway.....

Re: Defense

I usually go with the 4-3. It gives you 3 LB's. I usually rush 2 leaving one back.

Re: Defense

In 3 WR sets, I go with a 3-3-5 and pick LB Dogs (rushes all DL and LBs) before they snap it I usually have my corners press at the line. I usually get decent pressure...

Is that in the nickel package?

Re: Defense

Yes sir...some teams might not have a 3-3-5 in their nickel packages. They might only have Nickel and Strong as their nickel packages. I'm playing as Notre Dame and they have a Nickel, 3-3-5, and a 2-4-5.

I forgot to mention with that play that you should probably have some decently fast corners, say 90+ SPD and 90+ ACC to press, only because it'll help them close on the WR in case he beats the press.

Re: Defense

There's also a 3-3-5 Stack playbook, it has 4 different 3-3-5 formations, and 3-4. But it works best if you are using a faster defense, a slow defense will just get burnt with it.
