NCAA stick skills > Madden 09 stick skills

So I went over to a friend of a friend's house the other day. I had been over there before and he was on xbox live the entire time. He had a nice little setup also so it wasnt long before we started talking about video games. I told him what games i play (at a really competitive level) and he told me about what games he likes. We didnt really match up on anything until I told him I am an NCAA fanatic and he said "Aww man I play Madden everyday" so I came up with a compromise. I'd bring over NCAA09 and we'd play one game of each. We popped in NCAA first and I was Texas and he used Clemson. NCAA is my game and we're talking about bragging rights here so I didnt hold back. Anyway after going up 21-0 in the first quarter he says "We play 21-0 skunk here." In his defense, he had never played 09 before. Then we popped in Madden09. Now in my defense I've never played Madden09 before. The game went on and about 3 plays into my first drive I realized that these two games are exactly the same. I ran the exact same plays on defense and offense that I would run in NCAA and I worked him...badly. i think the final score was like 41-17 or something like that. Now I know this doesnt really mean anything because it is just one guy but he said he plays online all the time so what am I supposed to believe?

So, my question is...has anyone else had this experience? The game speed and timing are slightly different between the two games but perhaps NCAA's timing and speed translate easier to Madden than the other way around... Anyone play both games a ridiculous amount and have some insight? Anyway I just wanted to brag about how awesome NCAA and I are in comparison with Madden and its players.

The speed of NCAA's passing game feels much more faster than Madden. When bullet passes are being thrown in NCAA, you need to have some skills to react on the passes manually.

NCAA and Madden are totally different. Other than the fact one is pro and the other is college. The defenses play dif. The games are just different

And to add to the two above post. Head to Head play in madden is the only way to go. You have to do alot in NCAA to get a good game (i.e download rosters, change sliders, etc.) but in madden they have ROBO QB. Enough said. lol
