Oh, I understand. I was just stating on how I know I've been on here in years past saying that gameplay is the only thing that matters and I guess now that I've gotten a little older and have been immersed in some really great non-sports games, I kind of would like to get that feeling when playing a sports game.
I think Madden was a great example of the gameplay being pretty tight, but it didn't do much presentation-wise to keep me interested. Granted, the radio announcer was ditched and that's at least a start.

To a point.
But there is a big difference in "presentation" and how it adds to the game when you compare....
1. College Hoops 2k8's Coaching Carousel, Preseason Show, Weekly In Depth College Sports Tonight shows, and the coup de gras...the Selection Sunday Show
and....
2. A few cutscenes of some cheerleaders doing cartwheels and a "poppin' and lockin'" Mascot doing the caterpillar.
Seeing Lute Olsen retire from Arizona and being replaced by Gonzaga's Mark Few, and watching Greg Gumble go over real video highlights of #3 North Carolina's upset loss to Virginia in Week 5 of the NCAA regular season....that is undeniable in how it affects the immersion of a player into the game.
Gameplay will always be king...but there is no reason you can't have great gameplay and great presentation.
Hate to beat a dead horse, but games like College Hoops prove this can be done and done repeatedly.
