I believe the PSone versions allowed you to pick whether or not to do bowl games or playoff(I always did bowl games to be realistic). I think it was one of the features that never made it to PS2/Xbox when they made that jump, along with created plays and who know how many others.

i would love this now as to many teams like UTEP and Pitt go undefeated and run up the polls to stop really good 1 loss teams from playing for the title.

In OD it would be awesome cuz it really would be decided on the field and not in the polls but the polls could decide the seeds

Why would the NCAA care if there's a playoff option in a video game? EA paid the money to use the NCAA license exclusively including all teams and associated conferences. If they don't care about Mascots playing football, they won't care about a playoff option.

Yeah, but if the NCAA wanted it, it would be in the game. The BCS is a big money maker, and the more people watch it and get used to it, the more money colleges make in the mean time. It would be stupid from the NCAA's point of view to allow playoffs in this game.

I've been a proponent of an optional playoff system for a long time. I don't think the NCAA can say anything about it, as it's apart of the gameplay. By that logic, there would be no Custom Conferences either.

I would definitely implement this system on in my Online Dynasty. Imagine how fun that would be.

The whole game is a fantastic marketing tool for NCAA. Therefore, I don't think they care too much about the actual features. If the NCAA did care, then NCAA All-Play for Wii would have never been released.
