OMT: Is this possible for 10 or future games?

Instead of cutting players, can it be possible for the coach to recommend a transfer? Since, I dont like how if I wanna get rid of someone whos really good, but buried, I have to cut him, which would mean he'd be out of the game forever.

Not a bad idea actually. Better yet would be to be able to designate guys as "Scout Team Players," meaning that their names and ratings would still exist in the game, but he wouldn't count towards your 70-man roster.

That would be much more realistic, because I often find myself cutting freshmen, which would never happen in reality. They would simply get redshirted and stuck on the scout team. "Scout Team Players" could improve their stats as the season progresses, etc.

This along with yank's "Transfer Recommendation" idea would make for much more realistic roster management.

Although I think this is a good idea it probably wont be added because OMT will say....

"It was originally planned but we for some reason we decided to scrap it" or "we dont have a big enough budget" or "we would rather have mascot matchup and great features like thoughs" blah blah blah

Great Idea, that would be nice. Something even (probably) easier to do would be to have the kids that are buried on the depth chart transfer more. Seems like most of the guys in the game will not transfer (unless you lied to them in recruiting).

You should be able to redshirt players before cutting them.

This was quite witty, but this definately wont be in 10, just because they are bascally finished with the game and just getting rid of the bugs and polishing other areas, nothing will get added to ncaa 10 at this point.

Remember this Idea when they are taking ideas for 11 its actually pretty good.

That, and you should be able to recruit more than just 25 players. I wouldn't mind recruiting like 30 kids one season. And be able to knock them down to Juco, and sort of keep in contact with them as if you are recruiting them again.

I'd love to be able to be able to cut a player and him go to the transfer pool. However, the best remedy for cutting players is to recruit by the rule of 70 and not over-sign for the sake of over-signing.
