Custom playbooks aren't about cheese (though like anything else, I'm sure somebody can turn it into that). Rather, it is about being able to run the offense YOU want to run.

Let's say, for instance, you want to run the 1990's Nebraska I-back option offense. Well, guess what, you can't. You can take the option generic book and get parts of it, but then you are also stuck with a bunch of stuff like flexbone that Nebraska never ran.

Having the formations you want to run isn't cheese, it is flexibility and what sim football is all about. It is appalling that they would go through the trouble of giving us CAS flexibility, and then stop short of allowing us to truly create the teams we want to create because we can't give them the playbooks we want to use.
