Yeah, I've considered that possibility.

And, in reality, making that give/keep read takes a lot of hours of work.

If that were the case, it'd be cool if a developer just told us that.

On Ncaastrategies someone told me it's because that leaving someone unblocked just "led to problems," which sounds like a technical problem to me.
But if it's just that they're catering to a lower denominator (and I don't think there's anything wrong with that - I had no idea what a veer scheme was when I was 14 or 15. And there's no reason for them to do anything to decrease sales), it'd be uncool of them to blow smoke at us.

Spread > Option

Just my 2 cents.

But no seriously, it's sad how EA can't get the little things right. It never ceases to amaze me.

spread+option

(and not simply in the "shotgun spread option" manner either...Paul Johnson has had his under center spread option since the mid80s. )

Yep my buddy from church plays for Tech and when I was talkin to him about the offense, he corrected me about 10 times saying "Its not a tripple option. Coach calls it a Spread Option". lol

Oh, and I'll run the option because my team does. I honestly never cared about them fixing it until Paul Johnson came to Tech. Now it annoys the heck out of me! FIX IT EA!

Yeah, when Johnson was at Navy and years before that, the spread option was a potent offense and it's a shame that EA can't get it right for those who love to run that offense. And I don't even like the spread option or any type of option offense and I'm frustrated it's not correct in the game.

Remember before 08 came out and EA had this new O/D line guy who seemed really smart when it came to implementing blocking schemes in a video game?

Now we are hoping blocking is fixed for 2011.

Well this is now why I'm going to rent the game first. And if that's too messed up, I'm definitely not spending $60 on it. Too many problems that will most likely not be fixed.

It's sad.. I love college football WAY more than the NFL, yet I'll be buying Madden day one. PLEASE NCAA dev team, give us college football fans something to be excited about.
