Who do you control on defense?

I try to play as a weaker player because I feel I can do more then the computer can with him and I let the star players be stars. If I am on the defensive line, I will pick the worse DT or DE and control them. Now as far as LB or Saftey, it depends on what they are supposed to do on the play.

Mostly as NT but sometimes will use the MLB or one of the OLB's, kinda along the lines of what Solidice said

It depends on the situation. If im doing a zone blitz with my SS ill control him, if not i usually just control my RE cause i get a pretty decent pass rush if im actually controling a d-lineman.

you guys have been giving me some good ideas

i like to use a safety (man coverage, safety help) or mlb (only in middle zones)

i have not used a lb in a run support or man to man situation but I may try it

im also intrigued by being a CB. its scary

Playing corner has been kind of fun. You have the defensive assist button to help you, so it's not as hard as in the past.

I personally like to player lock the corner that is covering the opposing teams #1 wide out. I feel like it gives me a better chance to prevent him from making big plays and if they do I know they earned it and it wasn't really a fluke.

I mostly use the MLB but will also use the LE or OLB depending on the formation and play calling, and occasionally the SS on blitz plays.

If a team is running a lot I tend to stick with the MLB, if they are pass heavy I audible my coverages and try to put pressure on the qb with my LE or OLB.
