Maybe I'm just dumb. But, I don't get the pun.

"I'll give them as much time as they need"

I did not buy NCAA'09 because that game did not cater to my interests. This year I was excited for the release of NCAA'10 because I felt that the developement team added elements that were on my personal check-list (coach mode, revamped line-play, create-a-team, ect). Then I played the demo and the game felt like a finely-tuned version of Madden'09, but with college players; which turned me off because I did not like anything about Madden'09.

I would say that I am optimistic about NCAA'11, but it seems like for this generation of consoles, NCAA has simply taken the previous iteration of Madden and added college players plus a few new wrinkles to it. Since Madden'10 doesn't look like it's going to be anything particularly special, I'm not sure NCAA'11 (using Madden'10 as a starting point) will do enough to make me want to purchase that game either.

...But I'll keep on waiting, and when NCAA football "wows" me again, I'll be at the store with money in hand.

They are heading that way by default. Madden scraps will go into NCAA next year. What I want to know is where is the vision of the NCAA team? What does the NCAA team want to bring to the table? I have no clue what the NCAA team beleives in and what they are all about. I asked a dev once what the NCAA philosophy was and he said "Madden is about Sunday we are about everything you see on Saturdays." Yeah sure...

I think they've improved the game. I do wish they had more of the Madden upgrades. But more than likely we'll see those soon.

You know, I was thinking: I know the college game and the pro game are two different monsters. But, at what point do the basic fundamentals of football and physics get eschewed for more "wide open gameplay"?
