it seems like sometimes it will load out of sync or something because i'll be at the coin toss screen and the person im playing is still at the loading screen. i call the toss, pick receive/kick, the cpu seemingly picks an option and then it disconnects. meanwhile the other person is finally at the stadium and it says connection to opponent lost.

I had something similar happen in MLB 2k9 and it had to do w/ rosters. Just a thought.
