First off, WTF.

Look man, if my opponent won't punt and keeps turning the ball over, two things are gonna happen for sure. 1). The score is gonna get ugly. 2). He's gonna quit by halftime.

When he quits, now I'm playing the CPU.

The CPU already knows my plays, now they leave WR's uncovered and flood the box because I guess Adaptive AI means they know I gotta run the ball or lose Sportsmanship Points.

WACK!!!

Running the score up is calling time-outs to throw bombs in the 4th Quarter of a blow out. It's not being up 7 points against the shady CPU AI, and running play action on 3rd and 4 in FG range.

Another thing, I did lose points for running the option but now I know why.

The game counts a pitch past the LOS as a pass. WWTTFF. Please fix this.

Best thing to do is just ignore it and play your style of game. The rest of us have. The majority of people could care less about Season Showdown anyway, so the negative points are meaningless.

I had a post about this a week or so ago and I agree it sucks. Basically the game will punish you if you are leading in the 4th quarter if you try to pass instead of running the ball every play. One time I passed the ball for 5 yards to the right hand side and got slapped with a -50 for sportsmanship.

If you look at the Season Showdown team leaders, the majority of the top 10 are in the negatives for sportsmanship. Heck, the teams in the top 5 have at least -1,000,000 or more. Are these people simply playing the game with good teams or are they breaking some sort of rule? It is definitely something EA needs to reconsider for next year. They think of it as a feature but it actually ruins the game offline and online.

His choice of teams is irrelevant to the topic. The way sportsmanship is implemented is broken.

EA making it "unsporting" to pass on 3rd and 5 early in the 4th quarter when you are up by 14 is just mind numbingly stupid.

Wow I've only recieved this warning when I'm up by at least 28, never 7-14 points. Yeah I think you guys may have a broken version.
