So... this game too flawed to be fun? Should I get it?

I'm not the biggest football fan out there - mainly because i'm from Canada and we don't get a ton of exposure in regard to CFB - but I have occasionally played football games (both NCAA and I currently have Madden 10).

I've read a few posts and there seems to be a lot of flaws with the game. Is it worth getting? Is it just too flawed to be consistently enjoyable? The main reason I was thinking of getting it is because I like that the CFB game is a little more open, and I really, really enjoy running the Option play.

Also recruiting is a lot of fun, and so are running plays to me.

I'm still debating eventually getting the game but thoughts and opinions from people who live and breathe the game would me much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hmmm... honestly, I say rent the game first. Plenty of people have their own opinions on it and either hate it or love it. That is really the only advice I can give you, and a majority of the people on this board will probably agree with me when I say to rent it first.
I think the flaws in this game may not really effect you as much as a lot of the other players, but I am not certain of this.

Yeah, definitely rent it first. You dont want another person making a decision for you right?

yea, best advice your gonna get...in my opinion there are flaws but i'm still having a ball with this game, plus i have a lot of FCS schools created on teambuilder so i stick to dynasty and road to glory and the season showdown feature is awesome....but rent it first and see for yourself, different people like different things, so you might not see it the same way i do....if you do end up buying my psn is breakinfools check out the FCS schools i made...all with accurate ratings, rosters, and uniforms

Even if you are a huge CFB fan. This game has too many flaws to look past.

I also say rent the game. Then if you like it buy the game but if you don't then your not out that much. If you like the other football games you have had then you will like this one. Not much has changed.

Yep. Rent it. I love it. Much better than 09, better than Madden 10. I love college football probably too much, so I'm biased towards it, but Madden moves too slow for me. (All of this post is my opinion.)
