But doesn't NCAA 2004 have an old school feel to it...

I'm not talking about the old school teams either. I think it's becasue of the new display icons under the players. The new "star" display icon bring back old videogame football memories. I don't know, this topic could make no sense at all to those new to football gaming....NCAA 2004 just looks really retro to me.

Yeah, I like the star icon too. I wouldn't be surprised if they purposely did it as a nod to the old Bill Walsh and Madden games.

the star is very remeniscent to old maddens,but i dont know if i'd say the game itself is old school to me at this point..just the star.

That's what I meant, the star alone represents the old Bill Walsh/madden days. I hope madden is like this aswell.
