Patch?
Do I need Live to get them? I can connect to the internet, but I don't have Live. Also, can I download rosters, teambuilder, etc. without Live or would I need it?

all you need is a Xbox Live silver account, which is free, for patches. I'm not sure about rosters and Teambuilder. I think a silver account is able to download rosters.

So the silver account is free? I might need to get that.

the patch? it'll download automatically once you start the game while connected online. it'll pop up a message asking you if you want to update the game or not.
