Re: Poll: Expectations for NCAA 11

I voted: Greatest Ever and the reason is I want EA to know that people are starting to get very excited about this game and a lot of past errors will be forgiven if 11 turns out to be the best ever game.

Somebody mentioned Godfather III... and just like Al Pacino in that movie I feel like every time I get out... they pull me right back in...

I didn't buy NCAA 10 or Madden last year... for the first time since... ever! Just complete disappointment and I decided to walk away from ever hoping to have a fun football sim game again.

But news gets passed around and I found myself reading the blogs and hearing about Locomotion and reading the new Executive-Producer laying out his game plan... hope has been restored. For now.

It would appear that EA is paying attention to what the fans are saying and wanting and that is a huge step in the right direction. It's horrible when people pine for a certain feature and continually get ignored. So... thanks EA for listening. Just please don't screw this up. People are getting excited again, even those who say they aren't... they are.

The ball is in your court... now pull a Michael Jordan at the buzzer and give us a beautiful swish! {Sorry for the basketball reference}

I voted low since there is a good chance the players wont play anything like there real life counter parts and to me thats why i buy the game or should i say did buy.

Supposedly it fixes a lot of things like making power backs useful, fixing the ratings problems in the line, fixes the DB backpedal problem, etc etc.

If it really does all that, then there is no doubt in my mind this will be the best NCAA ever.
I hope you are right. In one of the EA videos a rep said that locomotion and the new acceleration model really shows the difference between power backs and speed backs. It definitely sounds promising.

Jistic - sounds like you are simply burned out of the FORUMS more than the game. Maybe a much needed break is in order for you.

I don't post much anymore for a reason.

But it's also the game. We go down this road every year ODogg. EA football has been....I'll say uninspiring for quite some time. Don't wanna get spanked for trolling.

Re: Poll: Expectations for NCAA 11

Oh I know, I feel the same way pretty much. I don't treat it as a huge, OMG, event when the new game comes out anymore. I mean don't get me wrong, I'll get excited and try to get the game early and etc, but it's like an adult at Christmas, you still enjoy it but it's not the same as it was when you were a kid. It's enjoyable but it's not magical. I wish the game could truly go back to being an OMG-magical moment on release day like it used to be.

As for the forums, I pretty much get the game and don't come here really. I've debated about what to do if I score the game early. I will come here and give positives and negatives, but I'm usually excited about getting the game and do not know what true negatives are (that comes with extended playing time) so people always criticize me for "playing up the game". So honestly it really irks me that people here feel as if I give my opinion I have some hidden agenda or i'm not critical enough.

Perhaps this year I should get the game early, then just really slam it every which way to Sunday and make people seem as if it's worthless trash and then finally folks would be happy, LOL. Or...I could just get the game early and not even come here. Because I really just posted here my thoughts and impressions to try to be helpful but instead I get attacked for it every year.

Re: Poll: Expectations for NCAA 11

ODogg, you are a very positive gamer. Most people are more critical than you so the problem isn't that you are posting overly positive things. The problem is that other people expect to feel the same way you do which probably isn't going to happen. We all have different tastes and expectations.

It's really too early to tell. If they tighten up the pass coverage and do away with wide open gameplay it should be pretty darn good. If not, it will be pretty bad like the last two years.
