Furthermore, stuff like this shouldn't even be introduced as a new feature. They had Chain gangs in Madden 98, and even then they had the gang actually run from the sideline, not a black screen where they suddenly appeared out of the darkness.

Usually, I wouldn't think concept design would need a check-level like quality control, but the way they develop conceptually tends to lack quality in a serious way and that's undeniable for anyone outside of that building, we have years of in-game evidence now. How skipping past the chain gang scene could be botched is really unbelievable. I mean, if you would've told me that would happen prior to release I would've laughed and said it was crazy, because it sounds like such a silly mistake, but lo and behold it came out and there it was...

They have chain gangs and dreads, two things NCAA claims to have been omitted due to frame rate. Game looks pretty good this year, can't wait to try it.
That's why they originally took them out. They've gotten better at keeping the framerates good and that's why we now see the chain gang in Madden, etc. Though, Madden does have a 2D crowd, unlike NCAA which has a 3D crowd in the lower decks, so that makes a difference too. But when they first made games for this gen, there is no way they could've have refs, chain gang, nets, active sidelines, etc. and kept a good framerate. As developers get better at developing games, they can get better at getting the most out of a system. That's why games like Mass Effect 2 look better than their predecessor, even though the platform they are on has the exact same capabilities it has always had. It's a process, and this generation of platforms seem to have taken the longest to get the most out of.

Oh dear lord. This is why I stay in the Supporter's forum. Because of garbage threads like this whining and moaning about the most ridiculous stuff...ESPECIALLY after all of the stuff we've seen that HAS been added this year.

Re: No Chain Gang?

What going to be funny is when the next generation of consoles come out and EA does the opposite of what they did this generation, and ports the game to the new consoles, instead of building from scratch.(Yes, I know their foundation for this gen is/was full of fail)

They will have almost all of the features from this gen in the first releases of Madden and NCAA, and people are still going to be bent, "WTF, this is just a port, where's all the new stuff?, typical lazy, EA"

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Knowing what the call is going to be before the refs make it isn't authentic. I'm fine with it not being in the game if they can't incorporate correctly.
