Agreed, because a 60 OVR lineman will do his job nearly all of the time. There will be subtle things where he is lacking compared to a great lineman, as in real life.
60 OVR linemen can handle most DLinemen, but against the elite players is usually where they fall down.
It's not necessarily like baseball where a below-average hitter is a below average hitter. It's more like comparing Chase Utley (usually a 280 to 300 hitter) to Greg Dobbs (260-270ish?). Dobbs is a good hitter and will punish bad pitching, but he can't hit good pitching as well as Utley.
At least most below-average linemen are serviceable within the context of a game, whereas a bad Cornerback or indeed Quarterback can mean disaster.
